Job Description

The Salvation Army is seeking an Activity Coordinator for the Laura Danieli Senior Activity Center. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, motivated, and dedicated to improving the lives of seniors. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, health, vision, life insurance, free membership, and more.

The Coordinator will plan and execute outreach activities, promote senior programs, distribute information, and organize health promotion and educational programs. Responsibilities also include maintaining records, planning events, preparing monthly calendars, organizing supplies, attending meetings, conducting home visits, and motivating seniors to participate.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • College coursework or degree in related field preferred
  • At least three years’ experience in programming for older adults
  • Experience in non-profit organizations preferred
  • Leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required (training provided if needed)
  • Must pass a criminal background check
Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform essential duties with or without accommodations, including walking, standing, lifting up to 75 pounds, and operating equipment. Reasonable accommodations will be considered.
