Mars Incorporated in Burr Ridge, IL is seeking an Activity Coordinator to lead cross-functional projects for SNICKERS, DOVE and M&M'S within the ice cream category.

You will partner with Brand Management, Finance and R&D to plan, execute and evaluate launches, manage risks and drive on-time delivery with discipline and excellence in execution. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years business experience (Brand management/Innovation, Supply Chain or Finance) including 1 year of Project Management experience
• Proven ability to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels to achieve business objectives
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; MS Project would be an advantage
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening) including presenting to all management levels
• High interpersonal skills: influencing without authority, resolving conflict, creative problem solving
• Proven analytic skills enabling foresight to drive business outcomes
• Proficient in managing complex projects; organized, prioritization, detail-oriented
• Biased toward action; entrepreneurial and able to move projects forward from start
• Resilient problem solver; builds consensus and finds creative solutions

Job Description:

The Activity Coordinator plays a critical role in bringing a portfolio of brands - SNICKERS®, DOVE®, M&M'S® -- to life within the ice cream category. Effective leadership, collaboration and agility are essential to success in this role. The Activity Coordinator has overall responsibility for facilitating the planning and execution of product and launch projects in terms of development, launch execution and post launch evaluation. They will partner with business (cross-functional leads) to facilitate and manage the scoping, planning and timing of any given project. This role regularly demonstrates organizational agility in partnership with teams including Brand Management, Finance, Supply, R&D. The role is responsible for leading project teams to successfully plan and execute projects. This will allow to focus on execution, improved visibility to risks and issues, and will help to establish a culture of discipline and excellence in execution.

What are we looking for?

• 3+ years of business experience (either Brand management/ Innovation, Supply Chain or Finance function), including 1 year of Project Management experience or related work
• Proven ability to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels to achieve business objectives
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project would be an advantage
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening). This includes ability to give effective presentations to all levels of management
• High levels of interpersonal skills, specifically in the area of influencing without direct authority, resolving conflict, and creative problem solving

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.
