Mars is seeking a Senior Manager of Global Strategy for Mars Snacking to lead deployment of global strategies and support long-term growth across our brands. • Lead current Strategy deployment and track progress vs target; identify growth opportunities/risks.
• Lead Global Ice Cream strategy refresh and mid-term planning.
• Collaborate with regional teams to localize refreshed strategy.
• Drive competitive intelligence and benchmarking; conduct desk research and data analysis.
• Lead geographic expansion and licensing considerations.
• Present challenges, strengths, and performance to C-suite/Board with polished materials.
• Manage internal projects across key business issues; define questions and execute plans.
• Partner with IC leaders to sharpen priorities and seed growth areas.
• Upskill teams and develop key talents in the ice cream organization.

Job Description:

The Senior Manager of Global Strategy for Mars Snacking will support the development and deployment of our global strategies, playing a key role in supporting the long-term growth and value creation journey of the company. This highly visible position, reporting to the Director of Global Strategy and working in close coordination with the Mars Snacking Leadership Team, will be filled by a candidate with exceptional drive and energy, who has strong analytical skills, the ability to turn data into insights, and highly effective verbal and written communications skills.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business or related field is required. MBA/MS is strongly preferred.
• 5+ years experience in either global corporate strategy or strategy consulting at a top tier firm (with strong preference for CPG industry experience)
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to break problems into logical sub-components, build a framework for analysis, collect and structure large amounts of data, and conduct thoughtful analyses to arrive at business recommendations
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to synthesize and clearly communicate complex findings through focus on critical issues and actionable opportunities
• Ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect, with peers, team members, and executives
• Track record of success in effectively owning and driving complex projects involving frequent interaction with senior executives
• Comfort in dealing with ambiguity
• Extensive experience in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel required

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Lead current Strategy deployment and continue to track vs target and identify and track growth opportunities/ risks.
• Lead Global Ice Cream strategy refresh and mid-term planning
• Collaborate with each key region on need base on a localization of the refreshed strategy
• Drive our competitive intelligence and benchmarking work.Work in close collaboration with our regional teams and conduct desk research and data analysis
• Lead Geographic expansion and the role of licensing
• Communicate our challenges, strengths, and performance to senior stakeholders (C-suite / Board) via thoughtful, compelling, and polished presentations
• Lead and execute internal projects across a myriad of critical business issues to help deliver on our global strategy.Work with regional and global stakeholders to define the key questions that need to be answered, develop a plan and approach to solve, and execute against the plan to deliver results
• Partner with IC business leaders to sharpen priorities & seed growth areas.
• Help upskill the ice cream organization with critical skills and mindsets and support developing key talents

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
