Assist the Activity Director in providing an interesting creative and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Community and promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled high quality activities excursions special events guest speakers movie showings exercise sessions the establishment of clubs games art and creativity opportunities educational classes and other such activitiesAs requested develop recruit manage and schedule Community VolunteersCommunicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents families visitors co workers and supervisorsMaintain a safe and secure environment for all staff residents and guests following established safety standardsAble to drive Community vehiclesEncourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co workers and other departments
Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentPrefer one 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniorsRequires current Class C prefer either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger EndorsementAble to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs Word Excel Publisher PowerPoint etcMust pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including physical and TB Tests
