Oakmont Management Group’s The Ivy Cherry Hills seeks an Activity Assistant to organize, promote and direct engaging activities for residents, emphasizing independence and quality of life. You will support the Activity Director, recruit volunteers, and help run excursions, games, art, classes, and events to foster social interaction and well-being.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma, and ability to drive community vehicles.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Requires current Class C license with Passenger Endorsement (or higher) for driving community vehicles.
• Proficient in MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in creating an engaging social atmosphere and promoting resident participation through planned activities, excursions, events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, clubs, games and educational classes.
• Recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, coworkers and supervisors with tact and friendliness.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles and collaborate with other departments to support activity programs.

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an interesting creative and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Community and promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled high quality activities excursions special events guest speakers movie showings exercise sessions the establishment of clubs games art and creativity opportunities educational classes and other such activities

• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents families visitors co workers and supervisors
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff residents and guests following established safety standards
