This position is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders. This role reports to the Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Supervisor, or Plant Operations Director.

Job Description

1. Transport residents and perform community errands as assigned, ensuring all residents using transportation are safely returned to the building.
2. Assist all residents in and out of the vehicle.
3. Ensure all vehicle inspection tags, licenses, and insurance cards are current and properly displayed.
4. Maintain a clean appearance of the vehicle(s) by performing or scheduling regular interior and exterior cleaning.
5. Respond immediately and appropriately to all accidents and emergencies.
6. Report mechanical needs and repairs; assist in coordinating vehicle maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations.
7. Serve as activity/outing support as requested.
8. Strive to maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and following safe work practices.
9. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
10. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Years of Experience: Entry Level (0-3+ years)
• Type of Experience: Driving
• Special Certifications: Valid driver’s license
• Language Skills: Fluent in English to perform job duties and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and third parties.
