Job summary

Haven of Paris is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Activity Aide to enrich residents’ daily lives with social, recreational, and expressive activities. You will help create meaningful opportunities for engagement, support the monthly activity calendar, and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for all residents.

Qualifications include 1–2 years in a social or activities program, excellent interpersonal skills, and a resident-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a social, recreational, or activities program, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, positive, and resident-focused attitude.
• Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to engaging residents.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and individual activities based on residents’ needs, interests, abilities, and preferences as identified through assessments and care plans.
• Encourage and support resident participation in daily activities, programs, and special events.
• Assist with planning, organizing, and maintaining the monthly activity calendar.
• Help prepare activity supplies, materials, and spaces.
• Provide encouragement and positive interaction with residents during activities.
• Complete required documentation and recordkeeping in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Support Resident Council activities and assist with scheduling and facilitating monthly meetings.
• Collaborate with members of the care team to promote resident engagement and quality of life.
• Follow and maintain established facility policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Promote a positive, engaging, respectful, and inclusive environment for all residents.
