Job summary

Carespring Health Care Management is seeking a Part Time Weekend Activity Assistant at our state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility in Olde West Chester, Ohio. You will plan and lead activities to promote residents' psychosocial, spiritual, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities include individual and group activities, assisting with meals, attending outings, documenting participation, and supporting surveys. Must be STNA or eligible.

Qualifications

• Must be STNA (or eligible) to participate actively in activities delivery.
• Willing to learn and communicate well with residents, families, and staff.
• Genuine desire to work with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and 1:1 activities to promote residents' wellbeing.
• Contribute to activity calendar and tailor activities to resident needs.
• Conduct scheduled groups and outings; assist with meals and events.
• Attend team meetings and support customer service surveys.

Job description

Facility is currently looking for a Part Time weekend ACTIVITY ASSISTANT. Come join our team as an Activity Assistant at our state of the art, skilled nursing facility. The position provides activities to the facility residents with the goal to promote the psychosocial, spiritual and emotional well-being of residents, families and staff.

Pay $13.50 - $16.00 an hour!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with other members of the Activity Department to provide individual, group and 1:1 activities, which are essential to the total wellbeing of our Residents.
• Provides insight with the activity calendar and provides activities to meet the needs of the residents
• Conducts all scheduled groups and individual activities.
• Attends outings – operates bus lift and all other bus equipment.
• Attends Team Member meetings as needed
• Assists with Resident meals (serve/feed).
• Assists with Theme Weeks and special events.
• Documents activity participation attendance for all groups and individual activities
• Assist with Customer Service Surveys.
• All other duties specified by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be (or must be eligible to become) State Tested Nurse Aide to allow more active participation with activity delivery
• Willing to learn and communicates well with others
• Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff and families.
