Job summary

Harborview at Lansdale in Lansdale, PA, is seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant to support daily programs for residents based on each person's needs and interests. You will help run activities, transport residents, and assist with daily living tasks to promote independence and well‑being.

Qualifications

• Cheerful and positive attitude for interacting with residents.
• Experience or familiarity with senior care activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Department with daily programs for residents based on individual needs, abilities and interests.
• Run daily activities based on the monthly calendar.
• Transport residents to and from activities.
• Promote residents' highest functional level through daily activities.
• Be patient and sensitive to residents' needs.
• Support memory care needs for residents with dementia.
• Maintain attendance records for resident activities daily.
• Assist with seasonal decor and light housekeeping after events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Activity Supervisor.

Duties of Activities Assistant

• Assist Activity Department with daily programs for residents based on individual residents' needs, abilities, and interests

• Running the daily activities based on the monthly calendar

• Transporting residents to and from activities

• Assist residents with daily activities to promote residents' highest functional level

• Be patient and sensitive to the residents' needs

• Must be comfortable working with memory loss/dementia

• Maintain attendance records for resident activities on a daily basis

• Assist with the seasonal decor of the facility

• Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning up after parties and programs

• Other duties assigned by Activity Supervisor
