Job summary

HumanGood in Escondido, CA is seeking an Activity Assistant to lead planned activity programs and help residents engage across wellness dimensions including sensory, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual sustenance. The role features a Full-Time AM shift with a temporary on-call period up to three months and flexible scheduling; compensation ranges $17.50 to $21.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Job description

Under general supervision, the Activity Assistant’s primary objective is to lead planned activity programs and assist in achieving resident engagement that fulfills wellness dimensions of sensory, social, emotional, physical enrichment and spiritual sustenance. Duties and assignments may be adjusted at the discretion of the manager and/or designee. Develops awareness of residents’ interests and needs in order to promote positive dining experiences, and recreational activities that encourage intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual sustenance.

Full-Time AM Shift / Flexible Scheduling / Competitive Pay

Schedule:

• Temp on-call for a period of up to 3 months (Shift is typically Monday- Friday 8 AM - 4 PM)

Compensation:

• Pay range is: $17.50- $21.50 an hour depending on experience!

To be successful in the role, you would have:

• High school Level diploma, GED or equivalent knowledge or experience is preferred.
• One year of experience in recreational activities preferred. Vocational/technical training that includes care of elderly with dementia desired; equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
• CPR and First Aid certification required
