Job summary

Eastgatespring is seeking an Activity Assistant for our skilled nursing facility to provide engaging activities that promote residents' psychosocial well-being. You will work with the Activity Department to deliver individual, group, and 1:1 activities and support daily living needs.

Eligible candidates must be State Tested Nurse Aide or eligible, with a caring demeanor and strong communication. Daily pay option, competitive wages, and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be (or must be eligible to become) State Tested Nurse Aide to allow active participation in activity delivery.
• Good communication with residents, families and staff.
• Desire to work with elderly residents and provide compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and 1:1 activities to residents.
• Contribute to activity calendar and tailor activities to resident needs.
• Attend outings and operate bus equipment as needed.
• Assist with resident meals and special events.
• Document activity participation and assist with surveys.

Facility is currently looking for an ACTIVITY ASSISTANT. Come join our team as an Activity Assistant at our state of the art, skilled nursing facility. The position provides activities to the facility residents with the goal to promote the psychosocial, spiritual and emotional well-being of residents, families and staff.

Pay $13.50 - $16.00 an hour!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with other members of the Activity Department to provide individual, group and 1:1 activities, which are essential to the total wellbeing of our Residents.
• Provides insight with the activity calendar and provides activities to meet the needs of the residents
• Conducts all scheduled groups and individual activities.
• Attends outings – operates bus lift and all other bus equipment.
• Attends Team Member meetings as needed
• Assists with Resident meals (serve/feed).
• Assists with Theme Weeks and special events.
• Documents activity participation attendance for all groups and individual activities
• Assist with Customer Service Surveys.
• All other duties specified by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be (or must be eligible to become) State Tested Nurse Aide to allow more active participation with activity delivery
• Willing to learn and communicates well with others
• Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff and families.
