Job summary

Frankfort Terrace is seeking an Activities Aide to engage residents in recovery and rehab through engaging activities and life enrichment events. Officially titled Activities Aide, the role may also be called Life Enrichment Coordinator in other centers.

You will help with cognitive and memory-focused activities, lead groups, and read to residents in their rooms as needed. A high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 25 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must have computer knowledge.
• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) pounds.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents in activities to support recovery and rehab.
• Lead exercise groups, card games, or reading sessions as appropriate.
• Provide life enrichment focused on cognitive and memory retention.
• Create a friendly, supportive environment and encourage participation.

As an Activity / Activities Aide you will help to keep our short term stay residents engaged in their recovery and rehab. With long-term residents, you will be providing life enrichment events, often focused on cognitive and memory retention.
