Job summary

Extended Care, LLC is seeking an upbeat Activity Aide to enrich residents’ daily living through engaging activities. You will coordinate group and individual programs tailored to each resident’s interests and needs, while documenting admissions, transfers, and daily participation.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to policies, and helping residents join in Resident Council activities, ensuring a vibrant, safe community.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate ongoing group and individual activity programs based on residents’ needs, interests, and abilities, as identified in assessments and care plans.
• Complete required record-keeping upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart and document per facility policy.
• Assist in creating the activity calendar and coordinating events.
• Follow and maintain established policies and procedures.
• Encourage resident participation in Resident Council and schedule monthly meetings.
