Southview Acres Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Coordinator to join our team. The role focuses on creating engaging programs for residents, coordinating activities, and supporting care plans and conferences.

The ideal candidate will have a college diploma in therapeutic recreation, music therapy, or COTA, with LTC/Memory Care experience and a caring, team‑oriented attitude. This on‑site role offers a supportive environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• College diploma in therapeutic recreation, music therapy, or COTA.
• Experience working in LTC/Memory Care.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Caring demeanor with a positive attitude and teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and create the program calendar for residents.
• Attend IDTs and complete assessments and care plans.
• Attend care conferences and participate in plan reviews.
• Supervise volunteers and support group and one-to-one activities.
• Implement group activities, individual programs, and special events.
• Ensure tasks are completed timely and efficiently.

Providing our residents with fun and entertainment is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do at the facility, and we are looking for someone with a passion for caring for others and looking to touch the lives of our residents in a positive way! The job will entailcoordinating and creating the program calendar, attending IDT, completing assessments/care plans, attending care conferences, supervising volunteers, implementing group, one to one programs, and special events.

Hours: 4 days/week, every other weekend rotation

Job Requirements:

• A college diploma with a degree in therapeutic recreation, music therapy, COTA.
• Experience working in LTC/Memory Care
