Job summary

Arcadia Care in Illinois is seeking an Activity Aide to assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs aligned with residents' care plans.

You will support the Activities Department daily, help prepare rooms, supervise resident engagement, and contribute to a caring, person-centered environment. Experience in long-term care is preferred; patience, tact, and a cheerful demeanor are essential.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Activity Aide is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Essential Duties

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs & quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Assist in overseeing residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department.
