Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking an Activity Aide to support planning, execution, and evaluation of recreational, social, and spiritual programs for residents.

You will assist in preparing spaces, coordinating activities, and ensuring residents engage in activities that promote physical, social, and mental well-being.

This role emphasizes patience, a positive disposition, and teamwork within the Activities Department.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on their maturity level.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for daily activity programs.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Oversee residents' engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote well-being.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the Activity Aide is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Essential Duties:

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs & quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Assist in overseeing residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.
