Job summary

Avantara St. Cloud is seeking a Full-Time, days/evening Activity Aide. Every other weekend required.

This role enriches residents' lives by providing group and 1:1 activity support and helping maintain emotional and social wellbeing. You will work independently with our senior residents, plan movies, parties, games and crafts, and accompany residents on activities outside the facility. The position offers on-demand pay, competitive wages, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• State of South Dakota CNA certificate or SD Accredited CNA training desired but not required.
• Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain emotional and social wellbeing of residents.
• Interact with residents to provide companionship and encourage participation in activities.
• Plan movies, parties, games, and crafts; schedule activities and accompany residents on outings outside the facility.

As an Activity Aide you are instrumental in maintaining the emotional and social wellbeing of our residents’. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara St. Cloud by interacting with and providing companionship to our residents, encouraging residents to participate in activities, assisting with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games, crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside of the facility. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they emotional and social wellbeing needs are met.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a High School diploma or equivalent. An unencumbered State of South DakotaC.N.A. certificate, or certificate of completion from a State ofSouth Dakota Accredited C.N.A. training course is preferred, but not required. Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
