Job summary

Allure of Peru is seeking a compassionate Activity Aide to join our skilled nursing team. You will help plan, implement, and evaluate programs that promote residents' physical, social, and mental well-being.

You will work with other departments to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, prepare activity spaces, and ensure resident dignity and confidentiality. The role includes weekday schedules and periodic weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department preferred.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator.
• Weekdays varies between 8am-4pm and 930am - 530pm.
• Every other weekend 8am-4pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs and quality assurance programs for the Activities Department
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement to evaluate facility activities and resident progress
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments to ensure seamless daily activities
• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility, promoting a positive and calm environment
• Assist in preparing activity rooms/areas for scheduled programs, recommending equipment and supply needs as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information, following facility guidelines and treating residents with dignity and respect

We're seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team at Allure of Peru, a skilled nursing and healthcare center dedicated to providing exceptional care and a warm, welcoming environment for our residents. As an Activity Aide, you'll play a vital role in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs that promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of our residents.
