Job summary

Arcadia Care in Morris, IL seeks an Activity Aide to assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs aligned with each resident's plan.

You will help plan and document activities, prep spaces, and supervise residents to enhance their well‑being, under the guidance of the Activities Department and care plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm to handle residents at varying maturity levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting daily activities.
• Prepare and clean activity rooms/areas for scheduled programs.
• Oversee residents’ engagement to promote physical, social, and mental well‑being.

Activity Aide

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the Activity Aide is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Essential Duties:

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs & quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Assist in overseeing residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.
