Arcadia Care in Morris, IL is seeking an Activity Aide to assist in planning, developing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs for residents, aligned with individualized care plans. The role supports daily activity programs, prepares spaces, and encourages resident engagement to promote well-being.

Candidates should be patient, cheerful, and able to interact with residents at varying maturity levels.

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs & quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Assist in overseeing residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.
