Job summary

Arcadia Care in Peoria Heights, IL is seeking an Activity Aide to support planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational and social programs for residents. You will help prepare spaces, chart activities, and ensure residents are engaged in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote well-being.

Experience in long-term care activities is preferred; patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition are essential to work with residents at varying maturity levels.

Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Activity Aide is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Essential Duties

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs & quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Assist in overseeing residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.
