Job summary

CareCore at Heritage in Minster, OH is seeking an energetic Activity Aide who enjoys working with seniors and crafting engaging programs that promote socialization and quality of life.

You will assist with planning and leading group and individual activities, encourage participation, and work closely with the Activities Director and the facility team to maintain a welcoming, positive environment for residents and families. PRN coverage including some weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable and comfortable with seniors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous activity/healthcare experience preferred.
• Available for PRN coverage, including some weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading resident activities.

Position Overview

As an Activity Aide, you will assist with planning and leading activities that promote socialization, engagement, and overall quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist with group and individual resident activities
• Encourage resident participation and engagement
• Help set up and clean up activities and special events
• Assist with holiday celebrations, games, crafts, outings, and other programs
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families
• Work closely with the Activities Director and facility team
• Help maintain a welcoming, positive environment for our residents

Qualifications

• Must be dependable, outgoing, and comfortable working with seniors
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in activities, long-term care, senior living, or healthcare is preferred
• Must be available to provide PRN coverage, including some weekends and holidays
