Job summary

The Grove of La Grange Park, part of Legacy Healthcare, is hiring Activity Aides to support residents in skilled nursing and post-acute care. You will engage residents with activities, provide companionship, and help coordinate events and outings.

This role requires a minimum of a 10th grade education, prior SNF experience preferred, and availability on days and weekends with some evening hours. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support to residents to maintain emotional and social wellbeing.
• Encourage participation in activities and coordinate scheduling of events.
• Assist with planning parties, movies, games, crafts, and accompany residents on outings.

As an Activity Aide you are instrumental in maintaining the emotional and social wellbeing of our residents’. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at The Grove La Grange Park by interacting with and providing companionship to our residents, encouraging residents to participate in activities, assisting with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games, crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside of the facility. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they emotional and social wellbeing needs are met.

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
