Job summary

The Grove Health & Rehab Center in Jacksonville, IL is seeking an Activity Assistant who is compassionate and energetic. You will lead activities focused on entertainment, exercise, and social engagement to help residents stay active and connected.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred but not required.
• One year of related experience preferred, especially in long-term care.
• Creative, dependable, and motivated team player.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities focused on entertainment, exercise, fun, and relaxation for residents
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and leading daily activities and events
• Support the preparation and distribution of activity calendars and resident documentation
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families
• Encourage participation and create enthusiasm for activities
• Help support residents’ emotional, social, and recreational well-being
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Your Role:
