Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services in Hallettsville, TX is seeking an Activity Aide to assist the Activity Director in planning, coordinating, and directing the residents’ activity program. You will collaborate on events and coordinate with staff to engage residents in meaningful activities.

The role involves facilitating activities for all resident levels, helping with monthly calendars and newsletters, and supporting residents’ participation during community events and on weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• A school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
• Certified Nurse Aide is preferred.
• Previous experience in activity or recreational department in the long-term care industry or related industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate both individual and group activities based on the individual needs of the residents.
• Assist with scheduling beauty parlor and barber activities.
• Provide activities for bedfast residents (one-to-one) and document in the appropriate record.
• Assist with monthly calendar preparation and posting in visible areas accessible to residents and visitors.
• Assist with generating the facility newsletter.
• Participate in community events related to the facility's interests.
• Assist residents to and from activities.
• Deliver resident mail daily.
• Other duties as assigned by the Activity Director and/or Administrator.
