Job summary

Manchester Rehab and Healthcare Center is seeking an Activity Aide to join our team and help support high-quality resident care. Be part of an active, dedicated, and fun team where you can make an impact.

The Activity Assistant helps plan, implement, and evaluate programs based on each resident’s assessment and care plan, following guidance from the Activity Director. Shift is Pt evenings, with a comprehensive benefits package and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Patience, tact, a cheerful attitude, and enthusiasm are important qualities.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Experience in a Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare activity rooms and areas for scheduled programs.
• Recommend needed equipment and supplies to the supervisor.
• Clean and reset activity areas after programs.
• Follow resident care plans to provide daily activities.
• Purchase department supplies and assist residents with personal items when needed.
• Support residents during activities to promote physical, social, and emotional well-being.
• Visit in-room residents, assist with crafts, write letters, run errands, and provide general support.
