Job summary

Elizabeth Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Activity Aide to join our Activities Department. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in healthcare, senior living, or recreational settings preferred.
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in working with the elderly.
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
• Must be able to lift, push, or move equipment and assist residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities
• Lead or assist with games, music, arts & crafts, exercise, religious services, and special events
• Escort residents to and from activity areas when needed
• Help decorate and set up for programs, holidays, and special occasions
• Develop positive relationships with residents and help promote emotional well-being
• Maintain accurate attendance records and documentation of resident participation
• Adapt activities to meet the individual needs and abilities of residents
• Work collaboratively with nursing, social work, and therapy departments
• Monitor resident safety during activities and report any concerns to appropriate staff
