Job summary

Kingston Resorts is seeking a Full-time recreation/guest services professional at Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach location. You’ll supervise activities, manage pool-area operations and staff, and ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include staff training, billing, and maintaining safety standards. A strong swimmer with Red Cross certification is expected; opportunities exist to earn Cabana sales commissions. Medical, dental, 401k and other benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong swimming ability and Red Cross swim test certification required.
• Hospitality or guest service experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and conduct guest activities across the resort.
• Oversee pool deck recreation equipment, facilities and cabanas for quality service.
• Process billing for recreation and activities.
• Interview, select, train and monitor Lifeguards, Activities and Cabana staff; ensure certifications and scheduling.
• Greet guests warmly and communicate with a confident, friendly manner.
• Organize and lead regular department meetings.
• Maintain swimming proficiency and satisfy Red Cross swim test requirements.
• Earn commission on Cabana sales where applicable.

The Kingston Resorts is 145-acre oceanfront resort on the north-end of Myrtle Beach. Less than 2 miles from Tanger Outlets and a short 20-minute trip to Broadway at the Beach. The resort is home to the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach, Kingston Plantation Condos, and Royal Palms. Responsibilities

• Plans, supervises, and conducts various activities for our guests.
• Oversee the maintenance of all pool deck recreation/activity equipment, facilities and cabanas to ensure optimal quality and service.
• Process billing for recreation and activities.
• Interview, select, train and monitor performance activity of Lifeguards, Activities, and Cabana staff. Ensure all have required certification and scheduling to ensure optimal coverage and be able to fill in when a lifeguard is needed.
• Greet and communicate with guests with a smile in a warm, friendly, and confident manner.
• Organize and conduct regular department meetings.
• Must be a strong swimmer and be able to pass the Red Cross swim test to be certified.
• Opportunity to earn commission on Cabana sales.
