Job summary

Grand Pacific Resorts seeks an Activities Supervisor to oversee the Carlsbad Seapointe Resort activities and recreation team. You will drive guest experiences, ensure safety and comfort, and collaborate with the Resort Manager to achieve department goals.

You will mentor staff, manage scheduling, oversee pool and decks, and coordinate with Owners/Guests to deliver engaging activities while maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee activities and recreation department to deliver engaging guest experiences.
• Strive for outstanding guest/owner satisfaction scores.
• Ensure environmental comfort and safety across resort facilities.
• Mentor and develop associates within the department.
• Create and manage the Activities schedule.
• Coordinate weekly Sysco orders and inventory for activities.
• Oversee Pool and Recreation Decks and related daily operations.
• Manage social activity coordination within the department.
• Monitor pool area to verify owners/guests are registered.
• Prioritize and organize work assignments for staff.
• Engage with Owners/Guests pre-arrival, during stay, and post-departure for personalized experiences.
• Identify guest concerns and resolve issues before checkout.
• Seek to increase guest satisfaction scores through innovative activities.
• Coordinate with teams to deliver unique and exceptional resort activities.
• Oversee daily activities for adults and children on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Assist with special projects as assigned by Resort Manager.
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct and regular attendance.
• Adhere to company policies, standards, and safety procedures.
• Operate company vehicles as required.

Job description

Under the direction of the Resort Manager, the Activities Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the activities/recreation department that comprise Carlsbad Seapointe Resort. Attain “outstanding ratings” for guest/owner satisfaction scores. Associate is responsible for the environmental comfort and safety of Carlsbad Seapointe Resort and all the systems associated required to maintain a comfortable environment. Associate will work with Resort Manager to make sure all activities and goals are accomplished. This position relies on excellent judgment to perform the functions of the job.Primary Essential Functions:All associates are obligated to support and uphold the Grand Pacific Resorts Standards of Excellence, Mission and Vision Statements as outlined in the Handbook.Ensure that all projects get completed on a timely basis.Serves as a mentor for associates in the department.Schedule for ActivitiesSysco weekly ordering.Oversee all Pool and Recreation Decks (daily monitoring and games).Manage all socials within the activities department when applicable.Monitor all people at the pool area to ensure they are registered owners and guests.Prioritize and organize work assignments.Engage directly with all Owners/Guests pre-arrival, during their stay, and post-departure to ensure a personalized vacation experience.Identify guest concerns and address/resolve prior to check-out.Increase guest satisfaction scores.Oversee and enhance resort activities.Coordinate with associates to deliver unique and exceptional activities for all guests.Oversee daily activities for adults and children on a weekly/monthly basis.Assist with any additional tasks or special projects as assigned by Resort Manager, The Pointe at MarBrisa.Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.Adhere to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department.Operates company vehicles as required
