Job summary

Signature HealthCARE Rockwood Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to help deliver engaging programs for residents. You will assist in planning and executing social, therapeutic, and wellness activities, both in-house and in the community, while ensuring documentation meets state standards.

Previous activities or healthcare experience is preferred, with CNA background encouraged. Join a mission-driven team dedicated to person-centered care in a supportive facility setting.

• Previous Activities/Healthcare Experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities to meet residents' social, emotional, physical and therapeutic needs.
• Promote activities inside and outside the facility.
• Provide in-room activities for residents unable to attend events.
• Assist in creating an ongoing activity calendar.
• Meet State Standards for activity scheduling and documentation.
• Encourage community involvement in facility activities and events.

How you Will make a difference

• Assist in the activities to meet the social, emotional, physical and other therapeutic needs of residents
• Assist in the initiation and promotion of activities both within the facility and outside the facility.
• Provide in room activities for residents who are unable to attend daily events.
• Assist in the creation of an ongoing calendar of activities.
• Consistently meet State Standards for activity scheduling and documentation
• Solicit the involvement of the community when planning facility activities and events.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Previous Activities/Healthcare Experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA Preferred, but not required.
• Skilled at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities.
