Job summary

The Northbridge Companies is seeking an Activity Assistant to work with the Engagement Director to provide meaningful, enjoyable activities for residents. You will help craft experiences that support physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being and contribute to a vibrant community.

You will coordinate a variety of programs, connect with residents daily, and help organize trips, events, and gatherings while maintaining a warm, inclusive atmosphere. Criminal Background Screening is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some recreation/gerontology classes are a plus.
• Love connecting with seniors and naturally get along with them.
• Be creative and able to plan and lead activities that suit different interests and abilities.
• Organize things well and pay attention to details.
• Communicate effectively and be kind.
• Be flexible to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• Know basic computer skills for documenting and communicating.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run a variety of activities with the Engagement Director (exercise programs, sessions, art projects, trips, spiritual gatherings, events with speakers/music).
• Connect personally with residents to tailor activities to their preferences.
• Help plan trips outside the community and ensure residents are safe and happy.
• Create a warm, inclusive environment where residents make friends and discover new interests.
• Keep records of participation and feedback to improve programs.
• Share creative ideas to keep programs exciting and aligned with residents' interests.

Activity Assistant Job Summary
