Job description

Some jobs fill a schedule. This one fills a day with meaning.

At the Institute on Aging, our Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) keeps older adults and adults with disabilities connected to their community, their independence, and the things that make life worth living. We are looking for a Life Enrichment Manager (internal title: Participant Engagement Manager) to lead that work, and to build something lasting while doing it.

The opportunity

This is a builder's role. Reporting to the PACE Senior Director and serving on both the PACE Leadership Team and the IOA Management Team, you will provide leadership, clinical direction, and strategic oversight of activity programming for On Lok PACE participants. You will supervise and grow the Activity team, establish an outcomes-driven therapeutic recreation framework, and stand up a PACE dementia engagement program designed around the person, not the diagnosis. You will partner closely with the Interdisciplinary Team so engagement is woven into each participant's care, and you will grow a volunteer program that multiplies your impact.

If you believe meaningful activity is real care, and you want the ownership to prove it, this is your room to lead.

What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, Gerontology, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • CTRS strongly preferred; ADC, ACC, or COTA considered based on experience and demonstrated therapeutic recreation expertise
  • First Aid and CPR certification within six months of hire
  • Minimum 8 years of activity programming experience for older adults
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong dementia care background, with experience in adult day health, PACE, long-term care, community living, or memory care settings (dementia certification preferred)
  • Experience with recreation assessments, care planning, and regulatory compliance in ADHC or PACE environments, including non-pharmacological approaches to behavioral, cognitive, and psychosocial needs
What we offer

Competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, and something harder to find: a mission you can feel in every shift, and the autonomy to build a program you are proud of.
