Job summary

American Healthcare Management Group in Florida is seeking a Life Engagement Manager to create daily programs that bring joy, connection, and purpose to residents. You design engaging events, foster a welcoming community, and support residents’ cognitive, physical, and social well-being.

The role requires an associate’s degree or equivalent, at least one year as an Activity Director, and state qualification with dementia care experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum one year as an Activity Director or in a similar role.
• State-qualified Activities Director with at least six months of dementia care experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to travel locally with occasional overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement group and individual activities that encourage laughter, music, interaction, and mental stimulation
• Design monthly activity calendars and publish a community newsletter
• Conduct activity assessments for all new residents and maintain updated quarterly documentation
• Coordinate volunteer programs and Resident Ambassador initiatives
• Participate in resident care conferences and collaborate with other departments
• Organize seasonal and annual community events
• Supervise and support Life Engagement team members
• Oversee activities budget and ensure cost-effective programming
• Participate in the Manager-On-Duty (MOD) rotation
