Job summary

Linden Woods Village in Gladstone, MO, seeks a dedicated Activities Director to develop and oversee a diverse activities program for residents. You will plan, coordinate, and document activities, ensure individualized plans, and work with residents, families, and staff to foster engagement.

The role requires CPR certification, a valid Class D license with a clean history, and at least one year in long-term care, along with state-specific credentials.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR certification.
• Must possess a valid Class D driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past two years.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families and staff.
• At least one year of experience in a long-term care environment and any required state certifications/licensures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, conduct, and maintain a diversified activities program for residents.
• Create weekly and monthly activity schedules.
• Ensure individualized activity plans for each resident.
• Coordinate calendars with activities team, residents, and families.
• Document logs and records per policy and regulations.
• Lead resident and family councils and liaise with vendors and health professionals.

The Activities Director is responsible for developing, conducting, and maintaining a diversified program of activities at the community facility to involve all residents in the following components of the Activities Program: recreational, educational, religious, physical and intellectual. The Activities Director has the responsibility to communicate effectively and advocate for residents to team members, families, physicians, allied health professionals, and the at-large community.
