Job summary

The Waterford at Shavano Park is a Sonida Senior Living community seeking an Activities Professional to design and implement engaging recreation programs for residents in assisted living and memory care.

You will assess resident interests, plan a seven-day calendar, coordinate outings, and collaborate with care teams to enhance quality of life while representing the community with warmth and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field is required.
• Two years activities management experience preferred.
• Certification as an Activity Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and implement activities for a seven-day week calendar.
• Identify residents' special needs and create plans to accommodate them.
• Involve residents in planning recreation objectives and goals.
• Integrate residents with the community through activities and outings.
• Represent the community positively, including press relations and promotional activities.

Education
