Shore Acres Care Center in Florida is seeking an Activities Director to lead the activities program for residents in a 109-bed skilled nursing facility. The role emphasizes strong leadership, supervisory capabilities, and building relationships with residents through engaging activities.

The candidate should have experience in long-term care, knowledge of MDS, care planning, and overall program management, with a passion for fun and resident engagement.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
• Provide therapeutic activities addressing physical, mental, or psychosocial needs.
• Review activity assessments for residents.
• Develop, plan and implement recreational programs and events.

Shore Acres Care Center is now recruiting a full-time Activities Director that possesses strong leadership and supervisory skills, experience and knowledge in LTC, MDS, Care planning and overall program management, and a passion for having fun and building relationships with our residents!

Shore Acres Care Center is a 109 bed skilled nursing facility located in beautiful Snell Isle. We've been a trusted long-term care and rehab center for many years and are committed to providing excellent rehabilitation services to our residents, whether the need is short term rehab, skilled nursing care, or long-term care.

Job Requirements

• Provide therapeutic activities to help with different physical, mental or psychosocial needs, such as socialization.
• Review activity assessments for all residents.
• Develop, plan and implement recreational programs and activities and plan special events based on the needs of the residents.
• Must have prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain professionalism at all times and be able to work as part of a collaborative team.

Experience:

• Activities Department: 1 year preferred
• Skilled Nursing Facility: 2 year preferred
