Job description

This position offers engaging activities and programs that encourage our residents to explore their interests and expand their horizons. Residents participate at their own pace and shine through dynamic activity involvement. The position holder keeps activities fresh and innovative, understanding that our communities thrive from the diversity and creativity of our residents.

Our goal is to build programming that enhances our residents’ quality of life and is enjoyable and beneficial to their well-being.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a positive working relationship with all residents, resident family members, and associates. (Daily)
  2. Maintain a high degree of resident, family and guest satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of high-quality services. (Daily)
  3. Effectively and appropriately communicate with each co-worker and community leader. (Daily)
  4. Maintain a positive image with the community. (Daily)
  5. Maintain an atmosphere of stability. (Daily)
  6. Assist Activities Director with coordinating and facilitating activities and events for residents, both inside and outside the community, designed to promote resident’s creativity, physical and mental well-being, socialization, and fun! (Daily)
  7. Encourage resident socialization and participation in activities and events to minimize resident solidarity and promote a positive community environment. (Daily)
  8. Maintain an inventory checklist of all supplies and materials required to enhance the activities program. (Daily)
  9. Assign tasks to volunteers and encourage their participation in community events and activities programs. (Daily)
  10. Provide administrative duties to support the Activities team as assigned by the Activities Director. (Daily)
  11. Help welcome new residents upon move-in (balloons and framed announcements, shadow box/shelves decorated, etc.). (Daily)
  12. Work alongside care staff to transport residents to activities and events. (Daily)
  13. Continue to develop job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities by participating in continuing educational opportunities for personal growth and development. (Daily)
  14. Complete and adhere to all other tasks and responsibilities set by the direct supervisor. (Daily)
  15. Regular and predictable attendance daily. (Daily)
  16. Immediately report any workplace injury to your direct supervisor. (As needed)
  17. Drive community vehicle. (As needed)
