Major Tasks + Key Responsibilities:
The Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for creating a unique resident experience and overall lifestyle of the community to which they are assigned. This position will plan, coordinate, manage and transport (to/from) resident services and activities in alignment with execution of United Group's SUN program, ensuring a full calendar of events is offered. The Lifestyle Coordinator will provide direct services to residents for social, craft, recreational, and cultural activities, working effectively with persons from a wide range of cultural, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Lifestyle & Activities
- Uses a foundation of creativity to develop new programs and coordinate activities for residents that support the SUN program in alignment with the budget provided, and that coincide with residents’ interests.
- Creates calendars, fliers, posters, newsletters, or other materials for the purpose of announcing upcoming programs.
- Plans, organizes, leads / instructs, participates, and supervises residents in crafts, games, sports, and recreational and cultural activities.
- Monitors materials and supplies; orders supplies as needed, and stocks supplies upon receipt.
- Arranges and serves appropriate refreshments for activities.
- Documents resident activity and personal work activity through notes or other written documentation
- Provides ongoing information and communications with residents in conjunction with management staff via newsletter and event calendar.
Transportation
- Transports residents to and from appointments and activities, operating and maintaining the Company vehicle (van/bus, etc.) in a safe and legal manner.
- Maintains daily trip log, detailing mileage and gas.
- Reports any vehicle accidents or resident injuries to Manager immediately.
- Transports van to repair shop when required for oil changes and all necessary repairs.
- May assist team members with light cleaning duties when there are no resident activities scheduled that require driving the van.
Job Overview + Requirements:
- Job Type: Lifestyle Coordinator; $26.46/hr
- Work Hours: Full – Time, minimum forty (40) hours per week, including night/weekend availability.
- Physical Requirements: Light lifting and carrying
- Education & Qualifications: College Degree or Applicable Work History; Valid Driver’s License; Valid CDL Driver’s License preferred but not required. Clean driving record and demonstrates sound judgement and good safety habits. Knowledge of traffic regulations.
- Required Experience: 1 - 2 years of experience in event planning, preferably residential property management and in active/independent adult (55+) market.
- Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of Microsoft Products, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Canva.
- Qualities: Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level; Exceptional communication, sales, negotiation, and leadership skills; Willingness to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds required, seniors preferred; Ability to solve problems involving residents, personnel, finances, emergency situations, etc.
