Community LIFE is seeking an Activities Coordinator to oversee the planning and implementation of therapeutic activities for elderly participants. The role includes collaborating with staff and ensuring high standards of care are maintained. Candidates should possess a relevant degree or equivalent experience in elderly activities, and strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 4:00pm with flexibility based on participant need
Summary of Job Duties:
The Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive program of therapeutic activities for all participants and the general supervision of the Activities staff. The Activities Coordinator works cooperatively with the Day Center Supervisor and all center staff with scheduling and implementing therapeutic activities. The Activities Coordinator must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan care for and provide service to frail elders according to assigned responsibilities and Community LIFE standards. The Activities Coordinator may be required to make in-home visits as necessary for assessment and on-going case management.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or High School diploma plus 4 years of experience coordinating and leading activities for the elderly (this is in addition to the below experience requirement.)
Required Experience:
Required Licensure:Valid PA Driver's License. CTRS or MT highly preferred.
