Job summary

Fellowship Square Christian Care is seeking an Activities Assistant to support our Memory Care team and coordinate events for the Assisted Living community. The role involves setting up, staffing, and executing in-house activities, while ensuring residents experience engaging, safe and dignified programs.

Ideal candidates will be 18+ years old, with a High School diploma, and strong English communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Must be 18 years or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the execution, physical set-up, and staffing of in-house events and classes.
• Assist with resident reservations and activity sign-up records.
• Follow up with residents by phone or personally to confirm activity sign-up and reservations.
• Disseminate activity schedules to residents, including monthly event postings and newsletters.
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm attitude when visiting with staff and residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure resident rights are protected.

Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic coverage Activities Assistant with our Memory Care team to help coordinate and execute events for our Assisted Living community when the activities Coordinators need assistance or coverage for activities. The Activities Assistant will assist with the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly activities that engage residents and provide enjoyable, safe experiences.

To succeed as an Activities Assistant, you should strive to engage in activities that are appealing and appropriate for the age and physical or emotional conditions of our residents. We are looking for a professional team player who can help bring joy and fun to our seniors while preserving their dignity and quality of life.

• Experience working with seniors a plus.
• Able to take and follow written and oral instructions.
• Team player, dedicated worker, and enjoys having fun!
