Job description

Opportunity: Activities Attendant

Responsible for promoting, assisting, and facilitating fun activities and programs in the Resort, with the goal of delivering outstanding guest service and ensuring financial profitability. Responsible for the successful execution of activities and events.

Essential Job Functions

1. Assist, promote, and facilitate all activities and programs for the Pool and Indoor areas.
2. Bring fun and entertainment to our guests.
3. Answer guest questions regarding the Resort Activities Program and local attractions.
4. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
5. Maintain cleanliness of the work area in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.
6. Organize and participate in recreational and educational activities, such as games, drawing, handcrafts, and show activities.
7. Assist in monitoring facility use to ensure guest safety.
8. Perform general activities as needed.
9. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team to reach common goals.
10. Use suggestive sales techniques to process orders for rental of Cabanas and assist guests with questions, providing guest recovery.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements

1. High School Diploma preferred or equivalent experience.
2. Energetic customer service experience.
3. Experience as an activities or daycare coordinator.
4. Ability to handle problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment and Context

1. Frequently standing and moving.
2. Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for at least 8 hours.
3. Handling objects and safety equipment.
4. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work long hours/split shifts, and handle stressful conditions.
5. Primarily outdoor work, flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
