Job summary

Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA, is hiring a part-time Recreation Department team member. You will host seasonal activities, participate as a Hershey product character, welcome families at Kid's Check In, help with events, and support guest services with a positive Hershey experience.

The role emphasizes guest interaction, safety, and a flexible schedule, with evenings, weekends, and holidays required. Minimum age 16 and clearances may be required by law.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Child care or customer service experience is a plus.
• Clearances may be required under Pennsylvania law; provide background checks as instructed.

This position is responsible for multiple functions in the activities area of the Recreation Department at the Hershey Lodge.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Hosting scheduled activities and events current for the season*
• Participating in costume as a Hershey Product Character*
• Welcoming guest and children to the property at the Kid's Check In*
• Assisting with special events and themed weekends*
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Child Care or customer service experience a plus
• This position may provide care, supervision, guidance, or control of children or may have regular, ongoing contact with children that is integral to the responsibilities of the position. As a result, in accordance with Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law, newly hired candidates are required to obtain the following clearances: a report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services (Child Abuse), and Fingerprint-based federal criminal history submitted through the Pennsylvania State Police or its authorized agent (FBI). Completed clearances are required to be submitted prior to starting employment.

Job Demands

• Physical requirements include complete mobility and good physical conditioning, good hearing and vision, and ability to tolerate heat.
• Must be able to work at least 16 hours per week.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 25 lbs.
• Schedule is primarily second shift. However, schedule may vary according to operational needs, with weekends and Holidays required.
