Job summary

LCB Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Activity Assistant for The Residence at Natick South in Natick, MA. This part-time role involves planning and supporting daily activities for residents and occasional van transportation.

Ideal candidates are dependable, with a high school diploma or GED preferred, and possess good English communication, creativity, and the ability to work with compassion in a senior living setting. Weekend shifts every other weekend may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations in 3 years.
• Must be able to lift 15 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize and implement activities for residents.
• Assist with arranging transportation and escorts for activities.
• Maintain supplies per department budget and participate in newsletters/calendars.
• Attend training sessions and calendar management; drive residents in van as needed.

Gerontology experience preferred.Certificates/Licenses: A valid drivers license in the state of work is required with no more than two moving violations in a three year period as determined by our insurance broker.Physical Demands:Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.Visual and auditory acuity.Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs., and be able to carry objects.Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
