Job summary

The Reserve at East Longmeadow, operated by LCB Senior Living, is seeking an Activity Assistant for full-time hours. You will help plan and implement daily activities, engage residents, and coordinate outings with transportation support.

Qualifications

• The ability to assist in developing and implementing activities.
• Create interest in activities and motivate residents to participate daily.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
• Requires basic computer literacy with office software and calendars/newsletters.
• Driver's license in the state of work with limited moving violations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing residence activities.
• Develop ideas to improve the Activities Program.
• Coordinate transportation and escorts for outings and events.
• Support volunteers and activity-related operations and store activities.
• Attend training sessions and drive residents in a van when needed.

Gerontology experience preferred.Certificates/Licenses: A valid drivers license in the state of work is required with no more than two moving violations in a three year period as determined by our insurance broker.Physical Demands:Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.Visual and auditory acuity.Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs., and be able to carry objects.Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
