Job summary

Arbor Hills Nursing & Rehab is seeking compassionate Activities Assistants to plan and lead engaging floor activities for residents. You will work with a team to execute an activity calendar, arrange snacks, and help residents move between areas in a safe and supportive environment.

The role requires adherence to care plans, accurate logging, and a willingness to work weekends, holidays, and evenings. A high school diploma or GED is required, with NCCAP-related credits or OTA/NCCAP certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Six NCCAP college credits preferred.
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming preferred.
• Certification as OTA or NCCAP preferred.
• Maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule.
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set up dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after all activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

6 NCCAP college credits

500 hours of experience in activity programming

OTA or NCCAP Certification preferred
