Altercare in Coshocton, OH is seeking an Activities Assistant for a part-time role with potential for full-time. You will organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small group sessions, and large group presentations, and assist the resident activity director as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, healthcare activities experience, and preferably a CNA license (training provided).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in activities department in a healthcare setting or equivalent.
• CNA license preferred, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily activities to residents and assist them to activities.
• Document daily activities and assist the Activity Director with duties.
• Experience with residents in a healthcare setting in an activity context is a plus.

Resident Activity Assistant organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one to one interventions, small group facilitation and large group presentations and assists the resident activity director as needed.

Qualifications for Activities Assistant

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in activities department in a healthcare setting or equivalent
• CNA license is preferred, but we will train

Responsibility of communicating to residents the daily activities, helping residents to activities, doing daily documentation and helping with miscellaneous duties that the Activity Director brings forth.

Experience with residents in a healthcare setting in an activity nature, is a plus.
