Job summary

Vibra Healthcare’s Meadows of Central Massachusetts, an 82-bed transitional care facility, is seeking an Activities Assistant to support residents with engaging programs that promote wellbeing and recovery.

You will assist the Activities Director with planning and conducting group and one-on-one activities, supervise transportation to events, and help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for diverse residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of audio-visual equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activities Director with coordination and implementation of programs and activities.

Hospital Details

The Meadows of Central Massachusetts is an 82-bed transitional care facility located alongside Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts – Central Campus. The Meadows provides comprehensive skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for individuals in need of specialized medical care before they can return home or to another care setting. Many of our patients have suffered serious injuries or illnesses. As a result, they require day-to-day help while they work toward recovery and regain their independence. Our comprehensive, personalized approach to patient care incorporates therapeutic intervention and medical management. We specialize in providing short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care services.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the Activities Director with coordination and implementation of programs and activities to meet resident psychosocial needs. Conducts activities for patients/residents in both one-on-one and group settings. Will assist with transportation of patients/residents to and from activities.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification required.

• Ability to operate audio-visual equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a long term care facility.
