The Meadows of Central Massachusetts is seeking an Activities Assistant to join Vibra Healthcare, LLC.’s team. You will support the Activities Director in planning and executing programs for residents, lead one-on-one and group activities, and help transport participants to activities.

A high school diploma and CPR certification are required. Strong communication, independence, and organizational skills are essential as you contribute to a patient-centered environment and ensure activities

• Ability to operate audio-visual equipment preferred.

We are seeking an Activities Assistant to join our team!

Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm

Day offs: Saturdays and Mondays

Hospital Details

The Meadows of Central Massachusetts is an 82-bed transitional care facility located alongside Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts – Central Campus. The Meadows provides comprehensive skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for individuals in need of specialized medical care before they can return home or to another care setting. Many of our patients have suffered serious injuries or illnesses. As a result, they require day-to-day help while they work toward recovery and regain their independence. Our comprehensive, personalized approach to patient care incorporates therapeutic intervention and medical management. We specialize in providing short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care services.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the Activities Director with coordination and implementation of programs and activities to meet resident psychosocial needs. Conducts activities for patients/residents in both one-on-one and group settings. Will assist with transportation of patients/residents to and from activities.

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Ability to operate audio-visual equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a long term care facility.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to motivate people and be sensitive to their needs.
