Job summary

Altercare Navarre in Navarre, Ohio is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations. You will assist the Activity Director as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, experience in activities in a healthcare setting, and STNA training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in activities department in healthcare setting or equivalent.
• STNA license preferred; training provided.
• Experience with residents in a healthcare activity setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily activities to residents and assist them in activities.
• Document daily activities and support the Activity Director with duties.
• Assist with large group and small group activity facilitation as needed.

Responsibility of communicating to residents the daily activities, helping residents to activities, doing daily documentation and helping with miscellaneous duties that the Activity Director brings forth.
