Job summary

The Homestead at Montrose, part of Volunteers of America National Services, seeks an Activities Assistant/Driver in Montrose, CO. This role supports social and recreational programs for residents and provides transportation as needed, in a caring healthcare setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably experience in a healthcare environment. A valid 21+ driver and clean MVR may be required. Part-time and PRN schedules available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• If operating company vehicle you must be twenty-one (21) years of age and meet the MVR organization standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate social, recreational, purposeful and spiritual activities for residents.
• Assist with planning and scheduling trips and outside activities; arrange transportation and resident supervision.
• Initiate reporting and documentation procedures as assigned.
• Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties.
• Perform other department duties or special assignments as directed by the Activities Director.

Pay Range: $17.40 - $21.03 per hour (based on experience).

What You Bring (Requirements)

The Activities Assistant/Driver will coordinate social, recreational, purposeful and spiritual activities to residents, whose needs include psychological, physical, and cognitive challenges.
